Jeremy Miller was born and raised in Winona, Minnesota. Jeremy and his wife, Janel, have three boys and live in Winona.
Jeremy is an entrepreneur, small business owner, public servant, and youth sports coach. He is co-owner and chief financial officer at Miller Scrap & Disposal; a family owned and operated scrap recycling and waste business that dates back to 1910. Jeremy and his brothers are the fourth generation to be involved in the business and work with their father and a dedicated team of employees. Jeremy has multiple responsibilities within the company, including accounting, business development, and global sales. He was instrumental in building a brokerage division within the company as well as the company’s recent launch of a local trash business. Jeremy and Janel manage a real estate portfolio with properties in multiple states, and they co-own a restaurant in downtown Winona.
Jeremy is active in the community. He serves as Vice President of the Morrie Miller Athletic Foundation, an organization that has been instrumental in supporting and sustaining youth athletics. Jeremy serves on the President’s Advisory Council at Minnesota State College Southeast. He also serves on the Winona State University Warrior Club Board and Saint Mary’s University Cardinal Excellence Fund Advisory Board. In addition, Jeremy is a Past Chair of the Global Recycling Standards Organization, based in Washington, D.C.
Jeremy is a sports enthusiast and enjoys participating in a variety of sports and outdoor activities, especially with his family. Two of his favorites include fishing with his boys and running. He is also a passionate Minnesota Vikings fan… next year is our year!
